Happy One Month Birthday, Storrer Twins!
One thing has not changed since the twins were born: 5:00 a.m. is still my favorite time of the day.
Before the twins arrived, I would stumble out of our bedroom and head down the stairs at 5:00 a.m. I would fight off the tired feeling, turn on the lamp next to my favorite chair, and just sit. For at least 20 minutes, I would read, reflect, and meditate. It was my sacred time before the crazy kicked in - before I attacked the to-do list and started my fast-paced day.
Since the twins have arrived, I stumble into our bedroom after the 3:30 a.m. feeding at 5:00 a.m. I fight off my tired feeling, sit on the bed instead of snuggling back in, and just sit. I stare over at the two darling babies in the two rock n' plays and at my wonderful husband. For as much time as I can, I reflect and meditate. I give thanks for the blessing of being the wife to an amazing man and the mother of two sweet, precious gifts. It is my sacred time before the crazy kicks in.
One month. How our boys have grown in just one month! How our lives have changed in just one month! How the world is so much sweeter in just one month!
The boys love tummy time and show off how they can both lift their heads up. Aiden is six and half pounds, and Owen is just at eight pounds. We are so thankful our boys are growing so well!
Aiden Kyle - we love your sweet faces and sounds. We love that you follow our voices and faces with your light blue eyes - you are so aware now of what is going on around you!
Owen Eric - we love your energy and how you kick and wiggle constantly. We love that you will just stare at us with your big blue eyes when we hold you!
Owen was not digging this photo session! It's real life! :)
Even the crying pictures are adorable!
These are adorable pics, Jenna (& Kyle). Particularly partial to Owen's middle name (our son's name is Eric). Sounds like you are adjusting, and realizing what blessings God has given you!! It is so true, they grow so fast. Try to soak in each and every moment, and don't sweat the small stuff (clean house, makeup, hair, etc)!! Much love and continued prayers for all 4 of you!! Looking forward to meeting the little guys at church someday...Sue Grieser
ReplyDeleteBoy, oh boy, are the boys growing, changing and becoming their own little persons! Thanks for sharing the pics, Jenna!! Love those boys! Love you all!! Aunt Maureen
